Ouch.
I am on vacation. I am in Martha’s Vineyard, visiting family.
Yesterday, I decided to do something absurd.
I spent the day lying on the beach. On my back, on my side, on my belly. The air was just a tad too cold for me, so I didn’t go in the water.
Lying in the sand, I hurt my back.
I already had a bad back. I have 3 deterioating discs.
I did just turn 30, by the way, not 60.
I am slowly learning what I can and can not do with this condition.
I can do ab excercises. I can lift weights. I can do the eliptical machine at the gym.
I can not wear heels. I can no longer run.
Apparently, I can no longer lay in the sand on the beach.
Everybody wants something they don’t have. I would happily give up my long legs, in order to have a healthy back.
Ouch.
