You did so much. Stop beating yourself up. You were the one to reach out to this family. People and things change over time. You were what they needed at the time. Your generosity and compasion was over the top. You are the kindest giving person I know. Constantly doing this sort of thing. Maybe your heart feels a little empty right now but you will be fulfilled again and again because of your unconditional love.

Your “bleeding heart” is what makes you who you are! I know the little one you are talking about…don’t you just want to take her home? As often as she goes over the top, I still have a huge soft spot in my heart for her, and for her little brother!

Andrea, everything you are doing for the girls (and all the children you have touched) makes their life better. Just look at all the smiles you’ve seen in person and in the numerous photos you have taken. Nobody can take those experiences away from them. They will always know that they had moments of greatness due to your generosity!

Andrea, your friend is right. Even if you can’t see an immediate effect, what you are doing, the love you are sharing, the time you are spending IS making a difference. It’s as grass root as grass roots gets and those kids are so lucky to have you in their lives!!

You got an up front insite to what is really out there. I am amazed everyday by the stories I hear from children. My heart goes out to them and I understand how things are different at their house from mine. The resources they have or don’t have are evident with their means of survival or just day to day living. I learn something new everyday about humanity.

I guess if you want to use the whole “health care is a right”. You can not be turned down by any hospital in this Country. There is your right. As far as paying for it. We have programs for just about everyone. Don’t we already have free health care for children(badger care), seniors(medicare), disabled(disability), lazy people(badger care plus)? As far as our roads, police, and schools, these are mostly funded by our State taxes, not Federal. We pay these because we chose to live here, just like our State funded health care. I pay to much in taxes by living in this tax hell called Wisconsin. I don’t need the Federal Government taking anymore of my money. And please don’t be offended by my comments. Most people are. Thus is why I use a fake name.
